Mom's Chocolate White Treasure Brownies

First off I'd like to thank my brother, Austin, for making my great new logo!  I'd also like to let everybody know that I've made some modifications to the page.  You can now get all of my recipes by viewing my Recipe Index!

This Saturday Michael and I went to a pig roast.  My family typically hosts a large pig roast every summer, but this is the first summer, in a few years, that we didn't have one.  Not to worry because there have been plenty of other parties to attend.

Since I don't like showing up empty handed, I decided to replicate my mom's Chocolate White Treasure Brownies.  Growing up this was always my go-to-dessert for her to bring to parties.  When she'd ask for suggestions, I'd always suggest these brownies.  I think what makes these brownies soooooo good is that they aren't overly sweet and chocolatey.  They have the perfect consistency of sugar and chocolate and they always turn out crispy around the edges, but remain gooey in the middle.  This makes these brownies the best of both worlds to satisfy everybody's likings.

The original recipe calls for a 9x9 inch baking dish to be used, but we double the recipe and use a 9x13 inch dish.  This makes these brownies really thick and gooey.  So if you want to half the recipe just adjust the ingredients and bake for 30 to 35 minutes.

All in all, these brownies were a hit.  I looked to my family for reviews first because they've had these brownies made by both my mom and me.  I got the thumbs-up approval from everybody.  These are a great party hit because they're a little modification to the traditional brownie with the white chocolates.
