Out of all of the gourmet burgers I've made, this is by far one of my favorites! The hoisin sauce creates the perfect crusted glaze, but doesn't overpower the burst of flavor that you get from the burger itself.
Hoisin Glazed Salmon Burger
Serves 2-3
Burger Ingredients
- 1/3 cup old fashioned rolled oats
- 2 green onions; thinly sliced
- 1 T cilantro; chopped
- 1 ½ t low-sodium soy sauce
- 1 t grated ginger
- ½ t lime zest
- ½ lb. skinless salmon
- 1 egg white
- 1 T hoisin sauce
Sauce Ingredients
- 2 T Greek yogurt
- ½ t low-sodium soy sauce
- ¼ t hoisin sauce
Directions
- Combine all of the sauce ingredients; set aside
- Preheat a grill to medium-high heat
- Add all of the ingredients (except the hoisin sauce) to a food processor; process until the mixture is fully combined
- Divide the mixture into 2-3 equal portion sizes
- Grill the burgers for 4-5 minutes on each side
- When the burgers are almost finished, brush them with the hoisin sauce
- Serve on a lettuce bun topped with the sauce and additional cilantro
