Turkey & Quinoa Taco Bowl with Homemade Taco Seasoning

It's Taco Tuesday!  I love my tacos - especially when mixed with my Homemade Taco Seasoning!  Here's a little twist to your traditional taco.  Instead of serving your rice or quinoa on the side, try mixing it all together and eliminate the taco shell by eating it in a lettuce wrap or out of a bowl.

Homemade Taco Seasoning
 2T = 1 packet
Ingredients
  • 2 T chili powder
  • 2 t oregano
  • 1 t paprika
  • 1 t ground cumin
  • 1 t onion powder
  • 1/2 t garlic powder
  • 1/4 t salt
  • 1/4 t ground pepper
  • 1/2 t cayenne pepper or red pepper flakes
Directions

  1. Stir together all of the above seasonings in a glass jar
  2. Store jar in a dark, cool place

Note: I triple the recipe and store the remainder with my spices so I always have some on hand.
