Crock Pot
Sesame Honey Chicken
Serves 3-4
Ingredients
- 1 lb. boneless, skinless chicken breast
- pepper, to taste
- 2 1/2 T low-sodium soy sauce
- 2 T honey
- 2 T tomato paste
- 1 1/2 rice wine vinegar (or more to taste)
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 1/2 t water
- 1/2 t sesame oil
- 1/2 t onion powder
- 1/2 t sriracha hot chili sauce (or more to taste)
- 1/2 T sesame seeds
- 1 medium scallions, chopped
Directions
- Place the chicken in the slow cooker and season with black pepper
- In a small bowl, combine the soy sauce, honey, tomato paste, vinegar, garlic, water, sesame oil, onion powder and sriracha hot chili sauce
- Pour the sauce over the chicken and cook on low for 3-4 hours
- Shred chicken with two forks
- Serve over rice with sesame seeds and chopped scallions
