Crock Pot Sesame Honey Chicken

Slightly sweet from the honey with a tangy kick from the sriracha, this crock pot dish is sure to be a dinner time favorite!

Crock Pot Sesame Honey Chicken 
Serves 3-4
Ingredients
  • 1 lb. boneless, skinless chicken breast
  • pepper, to taste
  • 2 1/2 T low-sodium soy sauce
  • 2 T honey
  • 2 T tomato paste
  • 1 1/2 rice wine vinegar (or more to taste)
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 1/2 t water
  • 1/2 t sesame oil
  • 1/2 t onion powder
  • 1/2 t sriracha hot chili sauce (or more to taste)
  • 1/2 T sesame seeds
  • 1 medium scallions, chopped
Directions
  1. Place the chicken in the slow cooker and season with black pepper
  2. In a small bowl, combine the soy sauce, honey, tomato paste, vinegar, garlic, water, sesame oil, onion powder and sriracha hot chili sauce
  3. Pour the sauce over the chicken and cook on low for 3-4 hours
  4. Shred chicken with two forks
  5. Serve over rice with sesame seeds and chopped scallions
