Chili Cocktail Meatballs

It was another Sunday football get together this past weekend and I knew exactly what I was going to make.  While the ingredients may surprise you, the end result is a delicious meatball that has the flavor of a semi-sweet barbeque sauce.

Chili Cocktail Meatballs
 Makes: 33
Calories per Meatball: 40
Fat: 0.6g - Carbs: 7.4 - Fiber: 1.9g - Protein: 3.6g

Ingredients
  • 1 lb. 99% lean ground turkey
  • 1/2 cup oats; ground into flour
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened almond milk
  • 1 egg white
  • 2 T parsley
  • 1 t salt
  • 1/2 t Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/8 t pepper
  • Oil for cooking
  • 10 oz. jar sugar-free grape jelly
  • 12 oz. jar chili sauce
Directions
  1. Combine all ingredients (except cooking oil, jelly and chili sauce) in a bowl and thoroughly combine.
  2. Shape into 1" meatballs
  3. Heat oil in skillet
  4. Add meatballs and cook until browned, about 5 to 7 minutes
  5. In a large sauce pan, bring the grape jelly and chili sauce to a boil
  6. Continue stirring the sauce until it thickens and is completely combined
  7. Transfer the cooked meatballs to the sauce and allow to cook on medium/low for 30 minutes
